Training contents:
  • Preparation: Participants will receive course-related material and will have to read it. Moreover, they have to prepare a presentation of themselves and of Institution where they come from.

  • Objectives: The aim of the course is to promote the understanding of other identities, to extend and develop strategies and methods on the development of a multicultural school/society and to build up competences and qualifications for a transnational cooperation between the Participants. Based on the Participants' reflections on regional and national identity, modules and methods will be prepared in order to promote the European identity by learners.

  • Methodology: Participants will work in teams and perform activities that are split into training formats. Some session will include trainer presentation of concepts and materials which lead to discussion and response.
    Other sessions will encourage participants to share their experiences and evaluate these experiences in the light of input from course tutors, and to plan for action on their return to their own teaching contexts.
    Pair work and group work will be a central part of the training activities.
    Care will be taken to allow equal participation by all, including those who are less confident in English.
    The methodology reflects the added-value of European cooperation, blending reflective and action-based methods. Lectures will alternate with workshops, discussion panels and case studies.
    Resulting in: an increased awareness of, and broadened outlook regarding, European and international perspectives of European Citizenship and practical recommendations, papers and teaching materials/guidelines published online and in print related these issues in Citizenship teaching.

  • Follow-up: After the course Participants will have at their disposal the Course web platform through which they will comment on the way they use the knowledge gained in their work.
    The follow-up plain will be focussed upon the practice and contribution of all Participants in building an extensive body of god practices.

Fee for accommodation and meals: € 750.00
inclusive of hotel accommodation (4 nights in double room), meals, study tour and local transports. All dietary needs can be satisfied.
Participants who plan to arrive earlier or stay longer are kindly requested to inform us in advance.
In case a group member might wish to be accompanied by another person they should take into consideration the fact that this person cannot take part in the work activities of the group. Our Bureau will be happy to make hotel reservations for those extra persons, provided they pay all costs themselves.

Cancellation fee:
€ 200.00
Participants who cancel their study visit should also let us know in good time. Participants who withdraw at short notice or fail to turn up will be asked to pay cancellation fee.
Comenius grantholders may not use grant funds to cover costs arising from cancellation of their attendance unless this is due to force majeure (certified serious illness or death of a close relative only).
